Max TV size by cabinet, in inches that matter
Cabinet names say 46, 50 or 65 inch. The limit that actually decides the fit is the width the maker allows, and TVs with the same diagonal differ in width by an inch or more. This table sorts every cabinet by its published width limit.
The last column is plain geometry: the largest 16:9 picture whose width alone would fit. A real TV is wider than its picture because of the frame, so the true largest screen is smaller. The column is a ceiling, never a promise.

Why width and height both matter
A 16:9 picture is 0.87 times its diagonal wide and 0.49 times its diagonal tall. Lift cabinets limit both: the width by the inside of the case, the height by how far the lift travels. On the smallest Touchstone chest the height limit is 24 1/2 in; a 46 in picture alone is 22.5 in tall, which leaves 2 in for the frame and any bottom speaker bar.
Touchstone's comparison chart also warns that adding a component shelf or placing gear below the TV reduces the height a lift can take. The trunks show it in numbers: 32 1/2 in without gear on the shelf, 28 in with it.
